So, we did it. The new songs, that is. Three of our band members ended up not being there, but we went for it anyhow. Not. Too. Bad. If I do say so myself. I was so nervous, and I think I messed up a little bit on the first song, which was also the hardest one, but since it was new to most of the congregation, no one knew that I had messed up. Good anointing on the music anyhow, and the second new song went really well. I had changed the voice on my keyboard for the second song, and at the end of the song, I was trying to change back to a different voice, and somehow, I hit the wrong button, and got all messed up. Everyone was waiting for me to do the intro to the last song, and there I was, messing with buttons on my keyboard, totally confused as to what had happened. Sometimes I'm such a dunce! Anyhow, good service. Helen presented our annual theme for Women's Ministries today, and, as always, she did an excellent job speaking. After church we were invited to lunch by a family in the church. Went to T.G.I.Friday's. I had never been there before. The food was really good, and the fellowship was better. All in all, not a bad morning.
And now, I'm 11 days in a row posting. And they said it wouldn't last. Ha! What do they know? And who are "they" anyhow? :-)

Ya, who are THEY anyway?! Isn't it a known face that 21 days of doing something becomes a habit? And look, you're half way there. Good job this morning. It is easier doing it when the congregation doesn't know it either.
I'm sorry, but I just was totally cracking up as I read your post (s). I think it's because I'm the worship leader at our church, and your honest and hilharious conversation about you and your keyboard, changing the voices on it,....well, what can I say except that I TOTALLY relate! A couple of weeks ago we were getting ready to start some "non-pipe organ" song, but much to my chagrin, the setting was inadvertantly changed and whamo....pipe organ all over the place! I reminded myself of the child who bumps into the wall and looks around hoping to goodness that no one else saw. I changed that setting so fast it was amazing!! I'm laughing as I type this! I think the Lord knew I needed a humor break. I think it's going to be lots of fun reading your posts and I'm glad I found you. Oh.....please tell me the new songs you're doing. I'd love to hear about it! :) Blessings, Kathy
Ahhhhhhhhh what a sweetie you are. Yes, I am feeling much better today thank you :-)
I'm glad to hear your singing went well... you should post your songs online for everyone to hear.
