Man, I'm getting old! Or maybe it's just that I'm old, fat, and out of shape. Ya think?!! Yesterday I was climbing up and down a ladder, trying to "drape" the ceiling of the church fellowship hall. See, I'm trying to create an ice palace. I've been watching all those wedding shows on tv, and they show all these great rooms that have been draped in white, then given "character" with special effects lighting. Doesn't look that hard. I mean, after all, how hard can it be to staple some fabric to a wall and stick a colored light behind it? Probably for a person about 25 years younger, not fat, and IN shape, it wouldn't be hard at all. But for me, a major chore! AND, after all the huffing and puffing and grunting, I'm still not sure the room is going to have the effect I'm looking for. Today the fun part begins. Today we will add the snowflakes and icicles (is that how you spell it? It doesn't look right to me at the moment.) Anyhow, we'll dress the tables, add candles and flowers, and the rest of the lighting to, hopefully, create the look of an elegant ice palace. I'll post some pics when it's all done.

:-) I'm looking forward to seeing those photos...sounds like its going to be lovely!
Sounds like fun! Well, except for the huffing and puffing part, but the end result (trust me...trust ME, no pun intended) should be great. In fact, I know they will be!!!!
I bet once you get the snowflakes and icicles up it'll finish it off perfectly.
Look forward to seeing the pictures.
God bless!
