Sunday's On The Way

Well, here it is, Friday, but guess what? Sunday's on the way. That statment has a two-fold meaning. See, as a Pastor's wife, Sunday is our main workday. So when it's Friday, most of you are thinking, "Hooray! It's the weekend!" But for us, it's "Wow, it's Friday and Sunday will be here the day after tomorrow, so I'd better get my work finished!" See, when it's your "job" to prepare for and lead the worship and teach the classes and preach the sermons, Sunday is not the traditional day of rest that it is for the average person, church-goer or not. For the pastors, Sunday is definately NOT a day of rest at all, but it is, in fact, the hardest day of the week for us. But that's okay, because, all in all, it's a pretty great life. We have a great church with wonderful people who are very, very good to us, and we love them! Now, because the Lord Jesus died on Friday, but rose on Sunday to give us everlasting life in Him, it puts a whole different spin on the statement "It's Friday, but Sunday's on the way!" When I go thru trials, I look at them as "Fridays", but then I read the promises in the Bible and know that victory, or "Sunday" is on the way! So I can have peace and rest in the knowledge that God has everything under control and will bring all things about for my good in the end! So, today may be Friday, but Sunday's On The Way!

Love the thought that it is Friday, but Sunday's on the Way. Yes as pastors, Sunday is a "work" day. Have a great "day before Sunday."
