Just "Stuff" Today

Not too much going on today. Had our monthly Women's Fellowship this morning at church. Kind of a light turnout, but the food and fellowship and the Word were all excellent, as always. A new lady came and she brought the most sinfully-awesome pies! One was made from lemonade, cool whip, & sweetened condensed milk, all mixed up and put into a graham cracker crust. The other was a cream cheese-type with fresh strawberries on top. Both were Oh Sooooo Good! One of our ladies said, "We're keepin' her - she made us Gooooddd Stuff to eat!!
My friend, Becky, is having an Open House Boutique at her house on Aug. 11 to kick off her new "career" as an artist. Her artwork is so fabulous and all of her friends keep telling her she needs to get her name out there and let people know what she does. She doesn't think she's very good, but God has given her such a tremendous gift of being able to paint. So we've finally talked her into starting out with a boutique, and then move forward from there. From what I've seen on the Etsy Shops, I think she should pursue that as one avenue of selling her work. But she will have to decide that for herself.
When I got home this afternoon, I worked on cleaning/organizing my "room". I have most everyting put away now, except books and I can't do that until I get my bookcase moved in here. I even started bringing in some decorations and so it's starting to look pretty in here!
Got my swap partner for the Tussie Mussie Goody Swap. She is Tonia at http://thefamilyjewels.blogspot.com. I emailed her to ask her about her faves as far as color and style and such. I read her entire blog, but she lost her camera and so has no pics of any of her stuff. So I have to wait for her to write me back and let me know about her tastes, so then I can get started making her Tussie Mussie.
O, and I'm still having an invasion of the ants, only now they are coming INSIDE the house! Yesterday I woke up to a stream of ants from the back door all the way into the diningroom, via the kitchen sink, where hubby had left a knife with peanut butter that he didn't rinse off before laying it in the sink. So out came the ant spray, then had to scrub everywhere I'd sprayed with hot soapy water, and all before I had coffee. In fact, I had to do all that before I could even make the coffee. And at six o'clock in the morning, having a battle with ants, before coffee, is NOT something I want to do! Sooo, if any of you have any suggestions, please help!
Well, I guess that's about it for today. I keep thinking "I don't have anything to write about today," and then I end up writing a short novel. Again! So, deal with it! :-)
