So, today was the baby shower at church for our two new mommies. We were worried for a while that it wouldn't be a very good turnout, because people are out on vacation or working. But we had a very nice turnout and the moms and babies got lots of wonderful goodies. So here's a few pics of the day's events.
Here's an idea I got from Plum Party. I made these from a 12"x12" sheet of scrapbook paper, then folded the napkins to fit and placed all of them in a basket for easy grabbing at cake time...
This is one of two of the blankets Esther made for the girls. Both moms were thrilled with those blankets and we all said the babies will probably never see them because mommies are going to be using the blankets themselves. Not really, we were teasing, but these blankets made by Es were fabulous and the moms loved them so much!
This is the "revised version" of the diaper cakes I made. When I did the second one I decided to add a layer, so then I went back and "revised" the first cake to include a fourth layer...
A shot of the gift table before it got loaded with loot for the babies. And believe me, it was loaded! Those ladies just ABUNDANTLY blessed the moms and babies with so many beautiful things.
Here's some of the ladies playing Baby Bingo...
Here's the cake we ordered- It's called "Baby Bud" and looks like an Anne Geddes portrait...
