Crazy Friday

Today is Crazy Friday, the day before the bridal shower. Hubby STILL hasn't finished putting away all his stuff that he had all over the patio and yard. Still two ladders out there to be put away.
I got pretty much all of the decorating done, just need to set the tables. But that won't happen until the morning, because I will not leave my tea sets outside overnight. The food is all prepared except for making the sandwiches (fillings are made and breads are cut)and baking the scones and the quiche. Right now I'm in the middle of ironing the napkins and the cats think the iron cord is a toy and they are trying to play with it.
The bride's mother and sister arrived tonight to help, but I had things pretty much under control by the time they arrived. They had to come about 75 miles in Friday afternoon traffic thru Los Angeles. If any of you are familiar with L.A. traffic, I don't need to tell you what that meant. Three hours of bumper to bumper traffic to go what should have been a little more than an hour's trip. Oh, well. Such is life in So. California.
Checked the Animal Shelter website today and thought I'd found a picture of Baby, but when I called, it wasn't her. I was so hopeful because this kitty looked soooo much like Baby, but they said the kitty there has a tail and is wild and came from a different area from where I live. My Baby has no tail, she's wild, but in a cute way. She's not un-tame. So my hopes rose and then fell flat again. And the waves of emotion still come. But life goes on.
And so, tomorrow will be the bridal shower. If I've forgotten to do anything, well, it will just have to remain undone, because time has run out. So I'll take lots of pics and post them after it's all over. For now, I'll finish my ironing and call it a night. TTNT, :)
