Diaper Cake, Yummy!

Here's a peek at a diaper cake I just finished making for the baby shower this weekend. I still have to make another one, for the other mom, but they will be the same.
The top "layer" is a burp cloth wrapped around a box of baby wipes. The middle "layer" is a row of diapers wrapped around the bottom of the same box of wipes. I used a 10" cake pan to "form" the layer, then tied pink tuelle around the whole thing to hold it together. Bottom layer is formed in a 12" pan, with the same tuelle tied around it. Then I put both layers on cake boards. Decorations are socks, baby washcloths, burp cloths, hair bows, pacifier, spoon, rattles, a manicure set, a box of Q-Tips, and a little stuffed ducky for a cake topper. So now I will make another one and they will be used as part of the decorations at the shower, then the new moms can take them home. I will wrap the leftover diapers, along with some other goodies I bought, for them to have as well.
